Two Husbands'... Part 2, Chapter 18

The Number Scarf

(The Witchdoctor has asked one of the Wives for her fashionable silk scarf (she has been wearing it as a dress!). It is emblazoned with bold numbers on an elegant checkerboard pattern. He holds it up; and then, using El Sultam’s German Formulas, begins to wave it back and forth in the jungle air)

Witchdoctor holding numbers scarf between both hands

NARRATOR
Does one of the Wives have a number scarf
to start off with, when she leaves her husband in the city?
A silk number scarf, black and white,
decorated with numbers on a graph?

ONLOOKER
The Witchdoctor is an ‘old spindle-fingers’
because he can weave anything
in and out of his hands;
including all the skyscraper
nuclear-reaction numbers
from off the top of the feathers
wrapped and tied around his brow!

NARRATOR
The Witchdoctor has got one Wife’s scarf
and is challenging it out to the sky;
forcing it to yield numbered secrets aloft
(along with her sweet smells and so forth)
in the loops, twists and spins
that he wields it with (her perfume arising);
all the while, staring, chanting, hopping
    and rotating around
    over his secrets;
over either his liquid plate of secrets
(with El Sultam’s formulas added)
or his stony plate of secrets
    that might bear aloft
    the twin-sister Wives
as tokens and tear them home -
take them home!

Yes, the Two Wives
are the Witchdoctor’s token.
And that’s okay, as long as he
    wields his power
to bob them up to the sky
to cross over the mighty Pacific’s rim
    east to the east
without dropping them.

ONLOOKER
He better have
sure and certain concentration.

NARRATOR
That he does with his Baobob drink.
It ‘fusions’ him
and sends his power -
but we won’t go in to that!
His wily craft is endless to discuss.
It’s an endless query.

ONLOOKER
He’s a stone-age leftover.

NARRATOR
Yes, with all the prehistoric incantatory tricks -
lifting things, rolling them,
using leaves and plants, counting.
He can do it all!

The Husbands’ Experience In Their Office

2 Husbands and the 2 cans in their office

SMALLY
Look here!
The graph is arching, billowing,
showing us its excitability
in the flashing of its clearest numbers
to the top (where it’s the whitest)
before they are folded over
    and underneath.

BIGGY
And it’s demonstrating its ‘all-one’ sense:
that it won’t come apart
    but will flow
into two manually directed,
    stabilizing tools;
leaving and collecting evenly, likewise,
    a shared propensity
to establish deadlines and accumulate figures
    for us.

SMALLY
And we are willing to share
the same drinking fountains of figures, each;
knowing the pipes are there,
layering and crisscrossing underneath
    with exactly the same water
    going back and forth.

NARRATOR
This is a miracle that
    ‘stayed apart’
as the two men were holding
    their mugs or cans
across the table from each other!

ONLOOKER
And as they held them up empty,
the sacred chart flew off the wall
and began to equally fill both their mugs
    in a balancing stream
    back and forth.

NARRATOR
In an arching band
of flexible information folding and banding
and succinctly being seen
but disappearing again and again
into their emptied coffee cups.

This is the ‘Two Can Do’ experiment
which leads to nothing, probably;
because all those numbers can’t be used
except to go inside the dry coffee cups.

ONLOOKER
And we don’t know what happens there?

NARRATOR
It’s just a jumping, leaping phenomena
    that happens.
Pressured up energies
are sharing their attraction to emptinesses...

ONLOOKER
Toward two bowls of affection
    innocently held up
    after being loved, drained
    and appreciated.

Note to Reader: We do think that the Witchdoctor’s knowledge is affecting the Two Husbands’ experience...

Two Husbands'... Part 2, Chapter 17

PART 2

THE JUNGLE WITCHDOCTOR
AND HIS INFLUENCE

Chapter 17

A Graph Sheet Gone Mad!

Graph sheet gone mad!

(Time passes a bit slowly in the Two Husbands’ offices
until something new and strange begins to occur again)

SMALLY
Graph sheet gone mad!
Graph table gone mad!
unexpectedly bursting out
with our number checking.

BIGGY
But they’re trying to hang in there
inside their bars and square rooms
but not making it!

SMALLY
They’re bending, slippery in a hard way -
the way numbers bend and crack
like hard toffee - turning thin-sheeted and brittle.
But still black. And wasted.

BIGGY
The way the numbers are overlapping you
must not be totally pleasant?

SMALLY
Yes, the figure sheet on the table is unruly.
The words escape me
to describe its un-waywardness.

BIGGY
You mean, its un-uprightness
wayward over you!

SMALLY
Its whipping and bending up
leading to a foul distortion!

BIGGY
The fixed numbers on the sheet
are flaring, contrasting, over-whippled;
    even blending a little,
as they are bent over each other in black.

SMALLY
It feels like they are whittling down, shredding;
chopped in together like piece-meal dust
slowly forming an obstruse pile somewhere
    in the tummy!

BIGGY
You don’t want them there!

(In a few moments the numbers calm down
and the Husbands are relieved)

NARRATOR
It looked like the chart leaped up
and twisted around like a live fish
(a bass or a carp or salmon trout)
right out of cold, running water
and into his face; slapping him
    seven times,
    as its so-called pages
    twisted around.
But, really, it is only one graph sheet,
proliferating with all the known numbers
and their combinations, that he’s working on.

ONLOOKER
And he’s worked so much with them
that they’ve become part of him
and he is projecting them out.

NARRATOR
His sheet is flipping and flapping
and bending about, not in control;
out of willfulness un-charged,
    dancing around
so that all his figurings and concentration
    tumble together
into a noodle soup, black-stirred with numbers -
    their pieces and chunks
    carousing, bobbing in!

The ‘Two Can Do’ Experiment

'2 Can Do' experiment

(Now the numbers of the Husbands’ graph are going back and forth between two cans in their hands)

NARRATOR noticing the new phenomena
in the Two Husbands’ offices,
The ‘Two Can Do’ experiment,
what is it pouring?

BIGGY
Of what use is it pouring out into -
into and into and back into - our cans
in our ‘Two Cans’ experiment?

SMALLY
Don’t spill!

BIGGY
While it bulges here
it flows less there.

SMALLY
But fits in.
To the bottomless pit.

BIGGY
Yeah, into the bottomless pit,
sinking ever farther into oblivion.

SMALLY
Stored away.

BIGGY
Canned up.
But powerful?

SMALLY
Maybe not?
Maybe it’s just an old shelf-worn
spaghetti sauce?

BIGGY
Not fit for whose appetite?

SMALLY
Nobody’s!

2 Husbands 2 cans!

Two Husbands two cans

(The Two Husbands are pouring the contents of their breakfast mugs -
the numbers from the graph - back and forth to each other across the room)

NARRATOR
Two Husbands, two cans
equaling, equalizing, pouring.

ONLOOKER
Equalizing and pouring
the contents of the two cans,
we would surmise?

SMALLY
The extreme,
detectable contents are noticeable.
They are all the numbers
(all the numbers on the graph sheets
that are just barely holding up).
They’re passing by, almost in a kind of blur.

BIGGY
Back and forth,
into cans or mugs of good fortune,
the breakfast drinks to power the brain
are emptied now; used up to gather steam -
the steam of numbers that steams up on the graph
(which streams over, to and fro, in an endless flow
back and forth!).

ONLOOKER
The two men are gathering up all the
numbers’ steam into their cups or cans
All this I can tell but what is the outcome really?

NARRATOR
It is unforeseen. I can’t imagine?
If the balancing of the glasses, the mugs,
    the cups, the two cans
is correctly managed and handled,
then all those steam-shoveled numbers
    are collected together;
    for a party confetti explosion!
perhaps, to celebrate the coming together
of the Two Husbands and their two wives!
today, tomorrow or... But really is this unnecessary?

ONLOOKER
Are the Two Husbands holding up
two cans of defeat or morning mugs of play?

Note to Reader: Leading up to these recent events in the Two Husbands’ offices, the Two Wives have been relaxing in feather-lined coconut shells in the Jungle Chieftain’s village in the South Pacific. They have spoken to the Chieftain (wisely, as he fancies them both) of their true marriages back home and of their desire to see their husbands again. The Chieftain has found a striking-looking local Witchdoctor to look after their needs; which this Witchdoctor has already bravely done by rescuing them from a large python-like snake.

Grateful for this deed of loyalty, the  Wives have begun to trust the Witchdoctor completely; and they have enlisted his support in finding them a definitive way to see their two husbands again. They have even offered him the use of El Sultam’s strong German Formulas; which he has been significantly testing out in the jungle the last few days.
We ask: Are these tests unnervingly affecting the Two Husbands’ work efforts long-distance somehow? Does the Witchdoctor even know about what numbers do?
